On Thursday, September 26th, the New Student Showcase will be taking place at the Osceola County School for the Arts from 6 p.m to 10 p.m. This showcase will include songs and monologues performed by the new drama students. The purpose of this showcase is to introduce the new students to the department and the school, and give them a chance to show themselves on stage.

“I want them to begin to feel the ensemble of being in the group, and to get what it feels like to perform on this stage. Everyone in the audience is there to support them,” said Mr. Lamont Clegg, Director of the Drama Department.

The pieces the students perform tonight will be the same pieces they perform in May, as a post-test to see how much they have grown throughout the year.
