The Shaping of OCSA’s Spring Showcase

Dominic Aleksic and Zoe Jordan

The 2018 OCSA Spring Showcase is approaching fast, and it’s chock-full of artistic ability.  According to Mr. Huntington, the show is similar to the annual Holiday Extravaganza wherein various art areas come together to display every participant’s artistic ability here at school. The key difference between the two shows is that the Spring Showcase incorporates a story-line produced by a core cast.

The theme for this year’s show is one of dreams and the power of youth. Mr. Huntington described the formulation of the showcase as being an “organic process,” and all involved in the show are working hard to showcase a variety of art areas while still weaving everything together to create a strong story-line.

This year’s core cast is comprised of nineteen student artists. At this time, the art areas confirmed as being involved include the Women’s Choir, Middle School Band, and the Dance Department.

It is evident that there is a devoted artistic cast from nearly every major on campus working diligently to make this year’s Spring Showcase as extravagant and enjoyable as ever.
