Team USA has added nine more medals to the collection, bringing the total of Olympic medals for the United States to 16 and bumping the country’s place to 5th in the world. Two more gold medals were won by Mikaela Shiffrin for Alpine Skiing in Women’s Giant Slalom and the USA Women’s Cross-Country Skiing Team in Women’s Team Sprint Free. Three more silver medals were won by John-Henry Krueger in the Men’s 1,000m Short Track Speed Skating, Nicholas Goepper for Freestyle Skiing in Men’s Ski Slopestyle, and the US Women’s Bobsleigh Team consisting of Elana Taylor and Lauren Gibbs.
