On February 28th, the annual Black History Month show will be hosted during recital. The show includes all majors, featuring a wide variety of acts and homage to art that has come from the black community. Johana Theodore, Senior Drama major stated, “We want to spread the message of empowerment, strength, and the struggle we have to go through in this country to our fellow OCSA peers.” The show celebrates the accomplishments of notable black artists such as Nathan Yungerberg, Idris Goodwin, and Donald Glover. Etana Sissoko, Junior Dance major said the show allowed her to, “come together and show the beauties and strengths of black culture.” The cast is very excited to perform and has been working tirelessly to perfect the show, in addition to organizing several other events in honor of the month.
