The United States has now reached fourth in the world with 21 Olympic medals, bumping the Netherlands down to fifth. On February 21st, two more gold medals were won by David Wise for Freestyle Skiing in Men’s Ski Halfpipe and the US Women’s Ice Hockey Team. Also, three silver medals were collected by Jamie Anderson for Snowboarding in Women’s Big Air, Alex Ferreira for Freestyle Skiing in Men’s Ski Halfpipe, and Mikaela Shiffrin for Alpine Skiing in Women’s Alpine Combined. Hopefully, with two days left in PyeongChang, Team USA will be able to slide into third worldwide above Germany.
