OCSA Band and Orchestra students recently embarked on a journey to the University of North Florida (UNF) last Tuesday on February 13. These OCSA students were given the opportunity to tour the campus, practice with the university’s music teachers, and receive feedback during these practices for their upcoming musical performance assessment (MPA). They also played with the UNF orchestra for the college’s showcase concert. One of the students that attended the trip, Ashley Rodriguez, stated that “it was such a great experience. It made me want to apply there.”

The trip served as an incentive for many of the students that attended to not only learn and perform well for MPAs, but to also consider what colleges they might be interested to further their musical careers.
