OCSA’s Student Government Association (SGA) results are now in for the 2024-2025 school year! Last week, students from every major campaigned for our SGA’s Executive and Senate boards for the upcoming school year, and the decision has been released!
The main council, also known as the Executive Board, consists of the SGA president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and historian. While they all carry different roles, each and every one of them commit themselves towards one goal: To voice the wants and needs of our student body. The main role of the Executive Board is to carry out the organization of the club, create plans for the year, and take over the press duties.
For the 2024-2025 school year, OCSA’s Executive Board representatives will consist of:
President is Trenton Danker, Orchestra, 11th
Vice President: Chymarie Williams, Drama, 10th
Secretary: Isaiah Cardona, Band, 11th
Treasurer: Hailey Marjason, Dance, 9th
Historian: Alejandro Robertella, Band, 10th
On the other hand, the Senate Board works differently; made up by the Class and Major representatives, they are the ones who engage with students in their art area or grade level. They ensure their departments feel comfortable with speaking about their recommendations, proposals, and desires. The main duty of the Senate Board is to make the decisions, while the Executive Board acts upon these results and communicate with teachers and staff in terms of the students’ feelings. “Without one, there would be no other, as they each depend on one another” says Mr. Burgos, who has been in charge of Student government for the past few years.
For the 2024-2025 school year, OCSA’s Senate Board representatives will consist of:
