Sunday September 9th Novak Djokovic went on to beat Juan Martin Del Potro to get his 19th Grand Slam Title.

Djokovic, a 31 year old Serbian tennis player, has recently tied with Pete Sampras for most titles won in men’s individual competitions. He beat Del Potro with a perfect game winning the first 3 sets and winning against the over all 3rd best player going into the tournament.

Djokovic had dropped to number 6 because of injuries and not being able to play last year. After being at the top of his game he sustained an elbow injury that did not allow him to continue and many questioned whether he would be able to bounce back to the top again. While he still has to win one more title and did appear to have some elbow problems during the game critiques have said that “this is the best start he could’ve asked for,” given that he recently also won Wimbledon and hopes to go on to win his 15th title.
