This November, OCSA has two upcoming dress down days, one hosted by the OCSA Medical Club and the second by PBIS.
OCSA Medical Club “Wicked” Dress Down:
The OCSA Medical Club, an organization focused on empowering young individuals who desire a career in the medical field, is hosting a dress down on Wednesday the 19th. It is Wicked themed, so dress in either pink or green to represent either Glinda or Elphaba from the Musical “Wicked”. Participants must pay $2 to partake in the dress down.
Medical Club is holding this dress down in hopes of raising enough money to be able to attend their first ever HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America, competition. Amy Flores, the Social Media Manager of the club says, “It [attending the competition] will be a great opportunity to gain real word experience.”
PBIS Fall Dress Down:
PBIS, OCSA’s Positive Behavioral Incentive System, an organization set to enforce positive behaviors across campus and raise students to higher expectations, is hosting a dress down encouraging people to dress up in fall attire. Although originally marked as a ‘fall’ dress down, you should dress as your “holiday best”, Ms. Kastner, a PBIS Team Member explains.
This dress down will take place this upcoming Friday, November 21st.
To participate, you must pay 3 STARbucks at the door. This offers an opportunity for students to be more proactive in doing good things and receiving recognition with STARbucks, ergo being able to participate in the dress down.
For both dress downs, OCSA dress code still applies. Students may not wear leggings, revealing clothing, have weapon props, masks, or full-face makeup. Students must be wearing clothes of appropriate length and appropriate footwear.
Mark your calendars to be sure to remember to participate to show your support for our schools’ organizations!
