Submit to Page 15’s Annual Writing Contest by January 30 for a chance to be in this year’s anthology: Hunger. You can choose to submit a poem, fiction, non-fiction, or a creative essay that explores the theme of “Hunger.”
So, what is Page 15? If you have never submitted to the contest before, here is what you should know. Fifteen finalists will be selected to be included in this year’s anthology. Some perks of being a finalist, aside from getting published, is getting a local artist to create an illustration inspired by your piece. You also get to attend a book release party and signing with your fellow contest winners.
Alicia Henriquez De Leon, a sophomore Creative Writer in the Communication Arts major, already submitted to this year’s anthology. She remarked, “It was a bit hard when it comes to the fact that it was a submission about hunger, but you could take it many other ways. My submission was about hunger for change.”
Whether it be a physical hunger that causes your belly to growl, a more abstract craving for power, or wanting a taste of true love, submitting to this contest should satisfy your thirst for inspiration.
