To celebrate National Games and Puzzles Week, there will be a “Dress as Your Favorite Game” day on November 14th.
This is being run by Odyssey of the Mind, an international, creative, problem-solving, organization that encourages students to develop their critical thinking skills. This club is giving students at OCSA the opportunity to participate in Games and Puzzles Week, as it is similar to some of the ideas and themes represented within Odyssey of the Mind.
Ms. Kastner, one of the sponsors of Odyssey of the Mind at OCSA, explains, “This dress down is meant to raise money for the Odyssey of the Mind regionals competition. Whereas previously multiple teams have been funded to send to competition, this year a lack of funding for Odyssey teams across the district means our teams will compete here first to see who earns the regionals registration.” The overall goal of this dress down is to raise money for the club’s upcoming competition.
Students who would like to participate will need to pay two dollars at the door. OCSA dress code still applies.
Caitlyn Lungstrum, the president of Odyssey of the Mind here at OCSA, says,” It would be great if you guys could help us support our club and get us to regionals!”
