The annual Arts Alive competition has just announced their finalists and among the names, two stand out, creative writing seniors, Aaliyah Rhodes and Dina Santiago! The two worked tirelessly to craft a portfolio of work and waited in anticipation for their results. Since they are finalists, they still have a performance showcase where they will be considered for a scholarship that could win them up to $1000!

When interviewed about what they would use the money for, both said they planned to use it towards their college tuition. As for where they think this will take their career, Dina said “It definitely inspired me to do more, be more diligent and intentional with what I do.” As for Aaliyah Rhodes, she said that the competition would, “Help me to advance to my goal of being a screenwriter.” Whether or not they win, these brilliant writers will go far in life.
